Vietnam Visa on Weekends: Saturday & Sunday Options (2026)
Written by Andrew Duong, visa consultant at Joey Visa Vietnam · Last updated:
Need a Vietnam visa on a Saturday or Sunday? See what's possible, how long it takes, what it costs and how to apply safely before your flight."

Can You Get a Vietnam Visa on the Weekend?
Quick answer: Yes, in most cases. The official e-visa portal normally processes applications on working days, but a weekend emergency service can get an e-visa to you on a Saturday or Sunday, usually the same day. Standard e-visas start from $45, and weekend emergency pricing is $224. Apply as early in the day as possible and have your passport photo and portrait ready.

Does Vietnam process visas on weekends?
The official e-visa portal (evisa.gov.vn) lets you submit an application at any time, including weekends. However, Vietnam Immigration reviews applications on working days, and the standard processing time is counted in working days. If you apply on Friday evening or on a weekend with no urgent service, your result may not arrive until the following week.
For travellers flying within hours, a weekend emergency service can be arranged. Vietnam Immigration still makes the final decision, so no service can promise approval.
From Andrew's experience: [Add one real situation, for example a traveller who contacted you on a Saturday evening with a Sunday flight, what you did and how long it took. Remove names. Delete this line if you don't add one.]
